Wellbeing I Cancer Care I Palliative Care I Menopause Support
Reflexology is a complementary therapy that is not only a science but also an art (1).
Becoming a fully qualified Reflexologist demands lots of study and a minimum of one hundred practice treatments.
Remember, reflexology is a complementary therapy, which means that it works alongside medical treatments. Reflexology does not cure a chronic condition.

During my study, I have learned some wonderful skills which include:
-
Working on your entire spine
-
Your Vagus Nerve
-
Your Chakras
-
And more...

Reflexology for The Menopause
A Natural Path to Hormonal Balance and Well-being
Menopause is a time of significant change, yet it also provides an opportunity for renewal and self-care. Reflexology, with its profound ability to harmonise the body and mind, can play a pivotal role in helping women thrive during this phase.
Through its targeted approach and soothing effects, reflexology empowers women to rediscover balance, vitality, and a sense of peace.
How Reflexology Supports Menopausal Health
Reflexology provides a non-invasive and soothing approach to address menopause-related symptoms.
By targeting reflex zones connected to the endocrine system — home to hormone-producing glands such as the ovaries, adrenal glands, and thyroid — reflexology seeks to restore hormonal balance and alleviate discomfort.
Each session is tailored to “your” needs and I may focus on reflex zones related to:
-
The pituitary gland, which regulates hormonal activity
-
The adrenal glands, responsible for managing stress
-
The thyroid gland, crucial for metabolism and energy levels
-
The digestive system to address bloating and discomfort
Sessions are typically relaxing, creating an environment conducive to relaxation and stress relief.
What does the science say about Reflexology for the Menopause?
Reflexology might be effective in decreasing hot flashes/flushes and increasing the quality of life of women during the menopause (1).
Foot Reflexology may lead to a significant reduction in menopausal symptoms and fatigue (2).
Post-menopausal women benefited after the application of Reflexology as sleep quality increased and fatigue decreased (3)
Foot Reflexology could improve postmenopausal women’s quality of life (4)

Reflexology at Lavender Therapy
As a reflexologist, I apply some pressure to specific points, reflexes, on your feet or hands to
promote homeostasis, a state of balance among all the body systems, to work at their best
capacity.

Modern reflexology is built on the principle that the feet or hands have 'reflex' points that
correspond to the various systems and organs throughout the body.
Like any other complementary therapy, it will be wonderful to have more large-scale research
to support the benefits of Reflexology. Just like any other treatment, there are contraindications, and I am happy to discuss those with you.
Is it for me?
My Reflexology treatment is not only aimed at adults wherever they are in their journey but also adults going through tough times who need some “me” time and relaxation.

After a thorough consultation, we will discuss the best treatment for you.

My clinic can give you the escapism you need in a non-judgemental atmosphere.

All the information given is confidential and non-judgmental.

Please note: Reflexology is not a substitute for the treatments prescribed by your medical team.
Benefits
Reflexology can help with the following:

-
Relaxation and wellbeing
-
Reducing stress – Anxiety reduction
-
Improving sleep and mood
-
Digestion
-
Easing the side effects from cancer treatment
-
And much more

For my case studies, I have worked with people suffering from chronic pain, poor sleep, multiple
sclerosis (MS), grief and more and I can honestly say that Reflexology has helped them with
the management of their condition.
